September 11th was officially International plein air painting day. I met with Mountain View Art Group in Didsbury ( north of Calgary) Sharon William and I  travelled west on westcott road until we found this charming little farm.

World Wide plein Air paintout Day

I met up with the Mountain View Arts Group on Saturday to participate in the world wide paint out.
Sharon found a beautiful place to paint along a road side, My first time painting on the side of the road. Here is the unfinished piece:

This is the last workshop I will be hosting for the federation of Canadian artists in Calgary

Well its been 6 six years of workshop coordination, I have met a lot of wonderful artists and rubbed shoulders with some of the best artists in the world. I have been truly blessed and handing off the volunteer postition will allow me to get my life back on track, lots of painting to do.

To my delight Zhaoming Wu paints another painting from our workshop.

As I was browsing around at some of my favourite artists I came across a new artwork from our amazing instructor who displayed kindness and applied knowledge to each particiapnt in our Canadian workshop. I purchased Zhaoming's  last one, it was had a cool undertone but this time he shows how he can warm up the colours. W O W !!  Gorgeous  He is always teaching something, its been years since the workshop but there is always something I recall or can see in his artwork that continues to inspire me.  Yes Years, it will be forever until I hope to paint with all he has to offer.

Now I will repaint the one I did with cool colours by adding the same warm tones, off I go to the drawing room...
