Mural for the Irricana Firehall

This month I will be working on a mural for a firehall. This is the drawing. I hope it will be very dramatic once I get the paint and get it started later this week.

Jellybeans in a candydish, This was my own challenge and I had alot of fun with it. Just arranging the jellybean colours was interesting and time consuming. You can attempt to do this too the picture to chose is in the RockyviewArtclub.piczo website - under demos. My particular picture is not posted but I am tempted to do another one.

A painting a day - I worked on a few paintings of children at the rodeo in a completely different style. This is just one of the renditions.

Akumal - Revised

Well, This is what happens when you rework a painting, somehow its ok but the first version appeals to me more. The painting colour is off as it was taken outside,... I think I will move on. This painting is availbale for bid at the Airdrie Public Library on Aug 29th and then at the City of Airdrie until Sept 11th.

The Ocean View in Akumal

I particularly like the way the waves crashed into the rock considering the ocean was pretty calm. Well I have been preparing this scene for the Airdrie Seniors Outreach Program. I have tried the rock and splash a few different ways, I will continue to work at it, stay in touch.

The Friendly Donkey

Well its been a busy time here in Calgary with painting for the Calgary Stampede. Horses and children just go together, my new selection for next year's Stampede will certainly be a series of children at the farm. There are so many exceptional artists at the Western Showcase so if you have never been you must put that on your things to do before I die list. This piece I did for last years Stampede and I will finish this years piece and post it soon.
