Airdirondack chair

While I was on vacation Creative Airdrie had an event to raise funds to create a new arts building, I painted a chair that they auctioned off and realize I should post it so here it is.

Andrew Kiss Demonstration

On Friday night I enjoyed a wine and cheese event that hosted this famous Artist, He was very meticulous and his tones were right on.

Andrew Kiss. I read on a website that his palette is never the same , well it is the same, the paint has been building up for months and its formed into a small mountain. I think Doug Swinton was already offering to put on ebay.

A Christmas Decoration

I am working on this as a christmas card design, this kitty is under the tree batting Christmas decorations. I Should be done by tomorrow for the sketch club meeting. They have a printing company who will choose from hundreds of paintings one they would like to put on a card, everyone is invited to bring 5 images. It is unlikely they will chose the cat but it was good motivation to get another piece done!!

Lloyd Park Wetlands

This is something I did last week out at llyod park with Linda Wilder, still have a few spots to fix. It was sure nice to paint outside and view the real thing, I must admit it is a better deal then a photograph.

New Paint

I am nearing the end of the paint I was handed down from the workshops, I have had to add white but still trying to finish off the palette of guck - I hate to waste it but it seems to be at the end. The paint is coming out dried up and leaving little flecs in the paintings. If you look closely at the truck you can see this. I used my own (winton, which seems dryer, It isn't as smooth going down as the graham) for the plein air because the sheets of palette are really quite messy to untangle. I know I wear

alot of paint when I create artwork but these were messiest things I ever saved. I had three sheets of all this paint but I guess it has a shelf life too and now I can start painting big again with a new palette of paint.

geraniums

I was gong to paint outside and as I was sitting there my geraniums caught my eye and I decided that I would give it a go, these are on a 6x8 canvas
