Well, Just need to add whiskers and this one is ready to go. A little painting 7x9 in a shadow light.

Just tweaking some paintings

I have lost track of how many times I have put this one back up on the easel and repainted something. Again I have reworked the face, urrgh. I just am not happy with this one, some day I will get it, not today.

Workshop with Doug Swinton and the sketch club

Its so nice to be able to go out and paint with fellow artists and to see the creative artwork that defines each person Here are the mini paintings I did, one is in Playa the other is the shack behind the Dean House in Calgary. The photo was taken on a plein air excursion with fellow artists from the FCA.

FCA Demo

In January I hired Ingrid Christensen, a local Calgary artist, to do a demo for the Federation of Canadian artists. She chose to do a figurative demo and for that my daughter Alysia posed. It was so impressive, Ingrid spent about an hour answering questions and painting, I would be so blessed to be able to paint like her. I have set up a workshop for the FCA members with Ingrid, date and time TBA, I will certainly post my artwork after I have learned all her secrets!!

Heat

Time to add another painting, I am working ont his simple rendition, I don't know why. It was a much nicer photograph. I really need to get in the mood to paint. lt appears I am losing my talents. So paint, paint, paint....
