Workshop with Doug Swinton
This weekend I attended another workshop. This one was oils with Doug Swinton. I like his strategy - SIMPLIFY. By painting with the biggest brush you have and by finding the correct value the colour is yours to see. I probably will not use this approach to many of my paintings but I do enjoy watching him as he pounds out a big 24 X 30 painting in 45 minutes. I realize I like to watch others paint as much as I like painting!
Here are pictures from the workshop.

Art Workshop in Cochrane, Alberta
Well I attended the workshop with Marilyn Kinsella Watercolourist She sure has become proficient with her skills. I must say I was impressed with the way she moved the colour onto the paper and could delicately conjure up the rocky mountains with out even using a photo. She said - I have painted them thousands of times from every angle. And she was so very good. Here is a simple painting I worked on.
